What Is Candida?

Candida albicans is a strain of yeast that lives in the intestinal tract. It can become problematic when it gets out of balance and overgrows. This problem can occur when your health has been weakened, typically by the use of antibiotics. Other contributing factors for candida overgrowth include excessive sugar consumption, pregnancy, use of birth control pills, excessive coffee or alcohol consumption, heavy metal toxicity, H. pylori infection, and chronic stress.

Candida Symptoms:

  • White coating on the tongue
  • Digestive distress (constipation, bloating & gas)
  • Depression & anxiety, not tied to circumstances
  • Mental fog
  • Debilitating fatigue or exhaustion
  • Intense sugar or carbohydrate cravings
  • Chronic sinus or excess mucous
  • Skin breakouts, acne, eczema, psoriasis
  • Yeast infections, genital and bladder infections
  • Nail fungus
  • Persistent food allergies
  • Allergies to skin products or cleaning supplies
  • Environmental allergies

What can you do?

To address a Candida problem, you will have to go on a Candida diet where you eliminate all yeast, gluten, sugar, white flour, fermented foods and drinks, and most fruit from six to eight weeks, approximately. Along with specific supplements, especially natural antifungals compounds containing grapefruit seed extract, Pau D'arco, oregano oil, and olive leaf extract. Stress reduction and some lifestyle changes will be necessary too.
